The complaint has been lodged in different police stations for Mr. Thirumavalavan’s alleged remarks degrading Hindu deities

The Hindu Munnani has lodged complaints in different police stations in Ariyalur district seeking the registration of cases under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and action against Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol. Thirumavalavan for his alleged remarks degrading Hindu deities and religious beliefs.

The outfit’s office-bearers filed the complaints at Jayamkondam, Kuvagam, Andimadam and Sendurai police stations on Thursday.

The alleged remarks were made by Mr. Thirumavalavan while taking part in a party meeting organised in Puducherry a few days ago.

Police said a CSR (Community Service Register) receipt has been issued by the Sendurai police on the complaint. No case has been registered in this regard in the four police stations, sources said.
