TRICHY: Two people were booked under the Pocso Act on charges of raping a minor girl in Trichy. Police arrested one while a search is on for another.
A woman lodged a complaint with the Manapparai all women police, stating stated that a 19-year-old relative had sexually assaulted her minor daughter while she was alone at their house on May 8. Another relative spread slander about the minor girl. Based on the complaint, police arrested the 19-year-old.
It may be recalled that the all women police had booked an advocate Sakthivel, a native of Manapparai on Wednesday, who was in a relationship with the minor girl’s mother. The woman filed a complaint against the advocate stating that he sexually assaulted her daughter. Police had booked him under the Pocso Act.
