Flipkart, in partnership with Axis Bank, has unveiled its own UPI handle, dubbed “@fkaxis”, aiming to provide Android users with a seamless payment experience. This innovative move allows users to conduct transactions, transfer funds, and earn rewards such as Supercoins.

The e-commerce giant, Flipkart, introduced its dedicated UPI handle, @fkaxis, in collaboration with Axis Bank on Sunday. Alongside the launch, they unveiled a new initiative tagged as ‘India’s Most Rewarding UPI’. Currently accessible through the Flipkart app on Android devices, users can now register for a unique UPI ID, facilitating fund transfers and in-app payments.

Flipkart’s UPI solution promises hassle-free transactions with no additional costs, coupled with a user-friendly onboarding process. Moreover, Flipkart facilitates one-click payments for mobile recharges and bill payments within its application, while also featuring the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card.

Dheeraj Aneja, Senior Vice President – Fintech and Payments Group at Flipkart, expressed, “At Flipkart, we are committed to delivering the best-in-class commerce experience to customers by offering safe and convenient payment options along with a wide array of rewards and benefits such as Supercoins, Brand Vouchers, and others. Furthermore, Flipkart UPI underscores our dedication to shaping a digitally-empowered society and reaffirms our role as a leading catalyst in India’s digital evolution.”

The Flipkart UPI handle enables users to make payments beyond the Flipkart ecosystem by scanning QR codes. Since its separation from PhonePe in 2022, Flipkart has been diligently working on developing its independent UPI system.

Users with accounts in any bank can create a new UPI ID on Flipkart at no charge. However, the feature is currently exclusive to Android devices, with plans to extend its availability to iPhone users in the near future.
