Trichy: When Chief Minister M. K. Stalin arrived at the Trichy airport last night, a 7-year-old girl standing in the crowded area suddenly shouted, ‘Stalin uncle’… ‘Make me study’. By then the Chief Minister M.K.Stalin had passed by the place. Meanwhile, district collector Pradeep Kumar, who rushed to the place after hearing the girl’s noise, questioned the girl.
Then she tearfully said that she was unable to study due to her family’s poverty and was unable to pay her school fees, so steps were taken to make her study. The Collector then assured that he would take steps to make him study.
The girl’s name is Kavya. He is studying 2nd standard in a matriculation school in Singhanallur, Coimbatore. He arrived at Trichy Airport with his mother Kavita and brother Kavinkumar. Kavya’s father hails from Manaparai in Trichy district and reportedly died of a heart attack 1½ years ago.
After that, Kavitha and her 2 children came to Trichy and stayed at a relative’s house for a week. In this situation, when the Chief Minister was seen at the airport, it was revealed that the girl Kavya had shouted for him to take steps to make her study. Officials are investigating the matter.
