Trichy Mountain Fort:
On behalf of the National South Indian River Linking Farmers Association, the farmers are engaged in a continuous sit-in protest near Chintamani Annasil, Trichy, under the leadership of state president Ayyakannu. In Tamil Nadu, this protest is being held against the central and state governments which are crushing the farmers and agriculture by not providing a profitable price for the produce of the farmers. Farmers protested for the 3rd day yesterday.
In this, the Central and State Governments have betrayed the farmers by not giving them the proper price for their produce, by not getting the Cauvery water required for cultivation, and condemning the threat of not talking about this, the farmers participated in the Nutana protest half-naked and with bananas in their mouths. Also, they say it is a democratic country. But they are refusing permission to go to Delhi and fight, will the farmers live? die? Do not know. They also demanded to save the farmers instead of killing them.
